Car Ramps

If you’re a handy woodworker, you probably work on cars too.  Nice to have ramps to drive up on to get under a car with a little working room.  I built some wood ramps.  Here are some pics and a video.

I built the ramp out of one 2x12 reinforced with a couple of 2x4s.

The top of the block is also a 2x12.  I used a box cribbing structure out of 2x4s for the block.

Assembly of the block is from the bottom up with the 2x12 on top so it can be easily replaced if needed.

The ramp has 1/2” holes which engage the 1/2" all-threads that are driven into the block.
